Business Motivation Pt. 2: Keep Making Moves!
By: Whitney Grinnage-Cassidy
Continuing with the topic of mindset from our first business motivation blog, your business journey is sure to have its ups and downs. There will be big wins, deflating setbacks and everything in between.
The big question here, however, is what do you do when these ups and downs occur? Sure, you probably know how to celebrate your victories, but are you ready to keep standing up when your business keeps knocking you down?
Part 2 of our business motivation series continues with this story on persistence.
Later, the speaker got another $100 note and held it up for all to see.
He then asked a simple question. “How much is this worth?”
“$100!” the crowd yelled in unison.
“Right,” said the speaker. He then took the note and crumpled it into a ball and asked “How much is it worth now?”
“$100!” screamed the audience.
He then threw the note on the ground, stomped all over it and picked up the note and asked one more time: “And how much is it worth now?”
“$100!” was the response.
“I want you to remember this,” said the speaker. “Just because someone crumples it, or stomps on it, the value of the note does not diminish. We should all be like the $100 note.”
In our lives, there will be times when we feel crushed, stomped over, beaten.
But never let your self-worth diminish.
Just because someone chooses to crush you, that doesn’t change your worth one bit! Don’t allow your self-worth to diminish because someone says something nasty or does something dirty to you.”
Never let your self-worth diminish.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Go for it knowing you are worth it! You deserve your dream business!
